Hi! My name is Travis Jamieson. Originally, I hail from Ontario, Canada, and recently spent more than 5 years in Chicago, but today I call Grand Rapids, MI home. Like Stephen Colbert and Herman Bavinck, I am one of eleven children. I’m married to Annie and we have a baby girl named Cecilia. We love to talk theology, go on walks, and watch Parks and Rec.
Ministry: I currently minister at Beacon Hill Assisted Living in Grand Rapids, MI as an assistant to the Chaplain. Previously, I served as a pastor for high school students at Calvary Memorial Church in Oak Park, IL.
Academics: I am currently studying in the Masters of Divinity program at Calvin Seminary as well as serving as an associate editor at The Bavinck Institute. I graduated from the M.A. in Systematic Theology program at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in May of 2017 and in 2014, I graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a B.A. in Theology. I hope to eventually do a Ph.D in theological studies with a focus on Dutch theology as is expressed in the works of Abraham Kuyper and Herman Bavinck.
Why a blog? Blogging is a means by which I can continually work on my writing and work out my theology. Lord willing, I’ll encourage the people who read it along the way.
